A Plateau State Gubernatorial Aspirant for the 2023 ,Hon .Alex Ladan has called on Federal Government to address the problem of land grabbers in Plateau and to ensure that herders occupying illegally the Gashit district ,Bokkos, and other places should vacate those pieces of land to original owners.
Ladan made this disclosure while in an audience with our medium in Jos, saying injustice is one of the major causes of conflicts in Nigeria.
Hon . Ladan is contesting for the office of governor of Plateau under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party ,PDP , in the forthcoming general elections scheduled for party primaries in Jos.
He hailed from Mangu LGA and currently working NGO, across the globe to ensure that freedom from injustice , poverty and ignorance is completely eliminated.
Alex Ladan is a grassroots builder and has a passion to transform the industrial and agricultural sectors of the economic well-being of Plateau people and Nigerian towards stimulating growth.
He reminded citizens the country need people with the heart to unite all the ethnic nationality and revamp back the moribund industries begging for attention.
He says, if this country should move forward, we need a total overhaul of the system the government has not done enough to bring justice to the people of Plateau since the return of democracy.
According to him, those illegal occupants of Plateau state land be reminded that if you want to buy land there are procedures to acquire them but if you feel that your constant sentiment of raiding and attacking is the option is unlawful.
Speaking further on the APC government achievement, Alex Ladan emphasized that it is very clear that we are not making progress under Lalong which everything is moving backward.
He said ,it is true that is not my first time trying the election and did that in the 2019 general elections basically, I believe that everything starts and ends with leadership.
He explained further that ours is to take responsibility and help to bridge the gap of leadership that we are yearning for and feel is all about the process.I believe that quality brings about fair leadership to harness the potential and opportunity of the nation.
He said Plateau citizens have a very rich quality of bringing unique as a person in the past, we have demonstrated in the past the performance of indigent of the state show that we have what it takes.
Ladan harped on the achievement of the Late G.D Gwomwalk legacy which is worthy of emulation, Plateau we came from a session of performing leaders to enact that leadership virtue and we need to get back and we do the same performance.
He stated that the reason taken the decision was to correct the competitive advantage of avoiding subsistence farming and turned our state mechanics system of farming into Arabic farmland that could be harnessed.
He explained that the climate of Plateau state is conducive to all types of crops that can grow here in the state, it reflects the abandoned potential and we need good leadership to improve it.
Ladan commended former Governor Jonah David Jang for bringing ASTC he has brought the state to the limelight to address local farmers’ problems.
We could gradually graduate from the crude old method of farming and move to harness the potential of the new mechanical system.
He disclosed that the tourism sector is one of the biggest opportunities and other crops include Tigger nut that we could grow and export and Steinberg also that will boost the economic well-being of the people.
