At least Fifty ( 50) Students have benefited from the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs scholarship and medical outreach in Plateau state .
It is no longer news that the Honourable Commissioner has conquered poverty amidst his rural dwellers and the state in general through his philanthropist gesture.
This was made known to our correspondent by Hon Sarki Zailani in a press statement signed on Friday in Jos ,Plateau state.
The Commissioner for Local Government Hon. Dayyabu Garga has conquered poverty in the rural communities in Kanam and Plateau state ,he has not only proven his mettle as a rare leader in this generation where society has become uninterested because of selfish drive and personal aggrandizement.
Meanwhile, for Garga ,this is service to humanity and mankind is his mission on earth as he believes in resharpening society for the betterment as he appreciate God kindness to him.
He has vowed to bring smiles on the faces of the down trodden and the needy on this humanitarian pilgrimage ,Hon Dayyabu Garga sponsored free medical outreach to Kanam people and also renovated a primary school at Lugur under Garga district.
Considering the water necessity in life and seeing how his people are suffering , Hon Garga has dug borehole at Dada and Garga respectively to cushion the effect,he added.
According to him, two of the students sponsored are now graduates one from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University Zaria while the second at Bayero university Kano .
As a public civil servant ,he successfully superintendent the emergence of the three Paramount rulers without rancor or bloodshed in Plateau state which include, the Paramount rulers of Afizere ,Ogomo Pengana and the recently coroneted Long Goemai of Gamai Nation ,the statement stated .
The commissioner also superintended the reinstatement of some chiefdom and village areas in the state.
Hon Dayyabu Garga quest to empower the young men and women educationally as one of passion to rid the society out of ignorance and complacency has registered several students to sit for WAEC,NECO and JAMB .
He has trained over 50 youths on skin acquisition to be self reliance , what we are saying is that this is a great conqueror of poverty .,adding if the society can get more of his type everything shall be better for it.
