Hired Thugs Unleashes Mayhem On Nasarawa NMA Chairman, Smashes His Car’s Windscreen

Dr. Friday Omole, the chairman of Nigeria Medical Association, Nasarawa state chapter has yesterday escaped by the whisker from the hands of mobs alleged to be hired thugs protesting over the unabated organized labour strike.

Omole in a telephone interview confided that he escaped unhurt from the jaw of the protesters along the major highway.

“One of the protesters used a club within his reach to unleash mayhem by smashing my car windscreen”, said Dr.Omole .

The ongoing strike action has taken a different dimension as pro-Al-Makura group embarked on series of protest over the unabated impasses between the organized labour and the state Government.

In a related development, the National Association of Nigerian Students has appealed to the organized labour to sheath their sword by calling off strike action, President of Nassa, Comrade Ahmed Hamza Ahmed gave the hint when they paid a visit to labour secretariat.

“Nassa urge the labour union to please sheath their sword, call off strike and continue with the negotiation as continuous strike without room for negotiation does harm than good”.

“We deem it fit to write you that Nigerian students want to make a position having observed the lingering strike action with keen interest and the outcome effects on our student’s academic calendar”.

Meanwhile , the state chairman of NLC ,Comrade Abdullahi Adeka while briefing Journalists said the organized labour has trashed the twenty one demands to fourteen from fourteen to seven critical demands.

Adeka buttressed that the ongoing protest in favour of Government was orchestrated by council chairmen.
