- Says Natural herbs help African to live long -Dr Ndam
A Private traditional practitioner Dr Ladak Sale Ndam , has said that Nigeria has the poorest knowledge of African herbal treatment plan .
According to him, exclusive treatment and feeding through local herbs help to reduce problem associated with cancer disease.
“He appealed to World Health Organization and federal government to partner with traditional herbal doctors in fighting other diseases in the continent.
Ndam recommended that infants be exclusively breastfeed for the first six months of life to achieve growth,” he said.
He also stressed the need to support women to combine breastfeeding with work whether in formal, informal or home setting.
He warned that women of reproductive age in optimal breast feeding would ensure developmental milestone of the first 1,000 days of the child.
Ndam added that exclusive breastfeeding would prevent irreversible damage to full potentials in the pre-school age of the children.
According to him, Nigeria needs to join the global community to celebrate herbal medicine, which is aimed at galvanising multidimensional support to enable the continent improve on health standard of the people.
