Gwiwa LG To Spend N333m On Education, Road Network, Electrification Projects

Gwiwa local government has said it will spend N20.5 million on electrification projects with the intention to boost economic activities and employment among the teeming youths in the area.

 

The chairman of the council Malam sale Ahmed ZAUMA state this while discussing with newsmen in his office.

 

The chairman explained that the council purchased three transformers at the cost of N3.5 million each and they have been mounted at various villages.

He added that the council had also repaired all the grounded cable lines at various locations in the local government which at the cost of N10mullion.

 

In the area of economic empowerment, the council had also purchased 12 commercial motorcycles which were distributed to some youths.

He hinted that the council is spending N3.5 million monthly as a monthly allowance to ad-hoc staff.

While on education the council said it has reached an agreement to establish a model boarding primary school.

The chairman said for the education project the council will spend the sum of N16 million for the takeoff of the projects and that it will gulp N26  million for it to be completed next year.

 

The chairman further stated that the council will provide road networks so as to ease activities for the populace and farmers, while it said it spend the sum of N277million on road network projects.
