Barely 24 hours after the Presidential candidate of African Democratic Party visited Plateau state in his continuation of his campaign ,the party state secretariat was attacked and vandalized by irate youths in Jos -North Local Government Area of Plateau state.
The Chairman of the Party and the Gubernatorial flag-bearer ,Hon. Sabiu Musa said the attack took place in the evening of Friday when our Presidential Candidate ,Amb.Mani Ibrahim Ahmad flag-off campaign in the state.
Addressing a session of journalists on Friday ,Sabiu alleged that unknown youth came in their numbers and vandals all the documents which I suspect they were sponsored by unknown person.
He said, now that this attack had started with ADC office after signing peace truce in Abuja for violence free election and all the political parties endorsed it.
The Gubernatorial candidate condemned the action and described it as barbaric, stressing the need for security agents to fish out those perpetrators and to help government in curtailing further bridge of law and order .
Musa pleaded with the security personnel to take proactive measures and flush out criminals by ensuring that this country is safe, adding, they should do anything possible to secure lives and properties of Nigerians especially at this period of electioneering campaign.
Sabiu assured his supporters of delivery the dividend of democracy if elected as the governor of Plateau state.
Hon SANI Abdul the Jos-North House of Assembly candidate said the irate youths vandalized and destroyed main campaign posters and some valuable documents inside the secretariat office.
We understand that some of them were sponsored knowing fully the caliber of the governorship candidate will likely win they plot destroy everything.
He expressed sadness and condemns in its totality the handiwork of detractors and campaign of blackmail.
The state secretary of ADC, Mubarak Yusuf said all the part documents were destroyed including billboard of our presidential and gubernatorial candidates.
Yusuf called on the security to go after those boys who did the act and I see them lack of political tolerance among the key sponsor.
Added, the party foresee more danger if this act criminality is not been check it may lead to many more lost of lives.
Mubarak Yusuf appealed to federal government to deploy more number of security personnel to Plateau state during voting exercise.
