Group Commends Jang For Quick Setting Of Committee On Late Solomon Lar Burial By Yakubu Busari,Jos

National coordinator youths volunteers society of Nigeria Mr. Maazi Obikwelu Nnawetanma has commended the bold steps taken by Governor Jonah Jang of Plateau state to accord late Nation’s political icon, Chief S.D. Lar a befitting burial.
Mr. Maazi in a chat with Newsmen in Jos, the Plateau state capital yesterday stressed that the constitution of credible minds as the National burial committee has given most of them hope that chief Lar would be given the honour he deserves.

According to him, S.D Lar deserves a national honour considering his selfless services and contributions to the nation building, particularly his dogged position to ensuring that Nigeria remains an indivisible entity.
He stressed that choice of all strata of stake holders irrespective of tribal, sectional, religious and political sentiments as the national planning committee for the burial of the Nigerian Emancipator is a clear demonstration and zeal to ensuring that S D Lar was a man of all, hence be given the last respect he deserves.
He however appeals to the deceased families, the Tarok nation, the people of plateau state, the Middle Belt and indeed the nation at large to take solace in God.
It will recall that the Governor, Jonah David Jang of plateau state on Tuesday approved the constitution of National Funeral Planning Committee for the Late Civilian Governor of Plateau State and Elder Statesman,

Chief Dr. Solomon Daushep Lar.
 Professor Jerry Gana, is to chair the committee while Barrister I.D Gyang is ti serve as secretary.
Membership of the committee is also drawn from Plateau and Nasarawa States, as well as the family of Chief Lar, the Presidency, Office of the Senate President, and Office of the Speaker, House of Representatives, National Headquarters of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, as well as Associates from across the country.
