Group Accuses  Akume Of Turning A Blind Eyes When Scores Of  Women And Children Were Killed In Zaki-Biam

Jemgba , senator George Akume’s traditional home has asked the controversial minister for special duties, to tender an apology to the people of Benue state for tuning a blind eye and not doing anything when scores of women and children were killed in Zaki Biam by soldiers, and now making utterance which shows alleged tacit support to leaders of Miyeti Allah the state.

 

While speaking in Gboko on Wednesday the spokesman of Jemgba Peace Advocate Mr. Tyohemba Iorsue, recalled that under Akume’s regime as governor, president Olusegun Obasanjo deployed soldiers to Zaki-biam on Akume’s request and over 500 women and men were massacred by the soldiers and.

 

He said that Akume’s utterances of recent times confirmed that he is maybe and allegedly working with these proponents to take over not just Benue state, but the entire middle belt region, Akume failed to learn lessons from what happened to Hon. Dalung and co-middle belters were used and trashed by cabals.

 

” When over 80 people were killed in Guma Local government on the eve of the 2017 New year, Akume said it was log of woods that governor Ortom put inside the caskets for the burial that was covered by international and local media organizations.”

He said that the people of Jemgba Akume’s home are embarrassed with Akume’s statements which are geared towards planning genocide in Benue State.

 

Iorsue said that Akume should choose between Miyeti Allah and returning to the Benue state after his ministerial appointment that has no positive effect on the people of the state.

 

The group which gives Akume seven days dateline to tender his apology pointed out that, it will no longer tolerate any statement against the state and any bloody attack in the state again, Akume will be held responsible.

 

The group rated Akume’s government as the most corrupt administration in the history of Benue State

 

They pointed out that Akume lost his re-election to Senate when his home discovered that he is a betrayer that is betraying the state to curry the support the interest of Miyeti Allah and he was rewarded with the ministerial appointment of a functionless ministry for special duties.
