Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has promised to embark on the construction of Udege-Odu-Agwads road as part of his administration’s efforts to open up rural communities for socio-economic to thrive.
Engineer Sule made this known at the palace of the Osu Agwada, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Abubakar Ogbagbu Kaika, as part of the continuation of his campaign across development areas, on Thursday.
The Governor during the event received hundreds of decampees from opposition political parties in Agwada Development Area, as the defectors said they are joining the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) because of the momentious stride of the administration in the State.
Engineer Sule while interacting with stakeholders from the area extolled the leadership qualities of the first civilian governor of the state, and currently the National Chairman of the ruling party Senator Abdullahi Adamu.
He commended Senator Adamu for attracting development to Agwada, especially the siting of a private university in the area.
The Governor said the people of the area have no business voting for another political party but to support their own by massively voting for the APC.
Speaking at the interaction with stakeholders, Engineer Sule said the event was an opportunity for him to hear directly from the people what their plight are.
He thanked the people of Agwada for the warm reception accorded him.
In Rinze, headquarters of Akwanga West Development Area, the Governor said his purpose for seeking reelection is to unite the people of the State, irrespective of their political or religious believe.
Speaking at the palace of the Chun Ngah, HRH, Alhaji Yusuf Adamu Amwe, the Governor called on the people of the area not to heed to the ploy of the opposition seeking to divide the people along religious lines.
Meanwhile, Overseer for Agwada Development Area, Hon Adamu Omale, assured that APC stakeholders in the area have resolved to vote Engineer Sule for a second term in office, as well as all other candidates of the APC.
Earlier, while responding in his palace, the Osu Agwada, HRH Alhaji Abubakar Ogbagbu Kaika, appreciated the Engineer Sule administration for the numerous developmental projects across the State.
The royal father further reassured that, the people of his domain will return the gesture by massively voting for the Governor and all candidates of the APC.
As part of the campaign tour, Engineer Sule earlier inspected the ongoing construction work on the Masaka/Luvu road, where the Governor instructed the contractor handling the project to hasten work on the project by demonstrating appreciable progress within three weeks.
In Rinze, headquarters of Akwanga West Development Area, the State Chairman of the APC, Chief John Mamman, highlighted on the development strides of the Governor.
Chief Mamman used the opportunity of the stakeholders meeting in Rinze to disabuse the minds of the people on the use of religion to divide the people.
He called on the people of the area not to pay attention to the antics of the opposition who lack what to sell to the people but to embark on campaign of calumny and division.
Overseer of Akwanga West Development Area, Hon. Yunusa Amwe, alongside the Chun Ngah, called on the people of the area to vote Engineer Sule again.
The Chun Ngah particularly appreciated the Governor for undertaking the construction of the Andaha/Rinze road, urging the Governor to complete the road leading from Rinze to Gudi after his reelection for another term.
State Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Hon Kwanta Yakubu and Akwanga Local Government Chairman, Hon. Safiyanu Isa Andaha alongside a tumultuous crowd of supporters, turned up to welcome the Governor to Akwanga West Development Area.
