Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule has said the mandate given to him by the people of the state during the March 18 governorship election is safe and Intact.
The governorship election petition Tribunal had on Monday, sacked Governor Sule while declaring the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, David Ombugadu winner of the poll.
However, a statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Public Affairs, Comrade Peter Ahemba said the tribunal ruling was just a temporary setback, adding that the judgement cannot stand in the eyes of the law.
The statement said Governor Sule is God God-sent servant and remained irremovable as the chief executive of the state until his second term tenure runs out.
The statement noted that Governor Sule’s confidence in the Judiciary remained unshaken despite the outcome of the governorship election petition, even as it expressed confidence that the governor would triumph at the Appeal Court.
