Governor Sule Congratulates 33,902 Graduates Of College Of Education Akwanga

Nasarawa State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule, has commended the graduating students of the College of Education, Akwanga, Nasarawa State.

Engineer Haruna of the National Agency for Science and Engineering is a worthy son of the soil while considering his immense contributions nationally.

He added that the head of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr. Faisal Shu’aibu for his tremendous contributions to the establishment of the molecular clinic at the Nasarawa State University, Keffi.

The Governor described education as the backbone of the nation, giving reasons why money to the tune of N100 million was allocated to the College for accreditation.

Meanwhile, the senator representing Nasarawa South senatorial district, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura has appreciated the former provost of the College of Education, Akwanga especially the late Dr. Rebecca Isaac Umaru for her commitment to enhancing the advanced Teachers training institute.

He stated that the College is among the institution of learning that has immensely produced academicians.

Al-Makura expressed delight over the fellowship award accorded him by the school which he said is a step at the right direction.

The Chairman of the Governing Council of the College of Education, Akwanga Ishaya Agidi Awotu has applauded the visitor to the institution, Engineér Abdullahi Sule for the employment of 309 staff.

The Chairman disclosed this during the 34th and 41st combined convocation and fellowship award ceremony held at the Umaru Tanko Al-Makura convocation square.

Awotu also revealed that the institution is under the headship of Reverend Jonathan Thani Wakili, the Provost for the cordial working relationship.

He disclosed that the College has succeeded in the payment of the backlog of 8 months’ allowances for engaged staff.
