Governor Ortom’s CSO Pawa Dickson Removed

Report reaching us from reliable sources in Government House, Makurdi have it that the present Chief Security Officer to the Benue State Governor, Dickson Orlu Pawa is to be replaced . The CSO to the Governor has been in the news for the wrong reasons following increased number of deaths in Benue State.

The former ADC to former Governor, Gabriel Suswam worked for 7years and 5months, before his appointment as the CSO to Chief Samuel Ortom. He was recently transferred to the Force Headquarters on the heels of the accusation that he master-minded the death of a PDP chieftain Hon. Atoza Ihindan in Katsina Ala , Benue State. We can not ascertain if this was the singular reason behind his deployment but it might not be far from it.

Dickson Orlu Pawa has maintained silence during this period and cannot be quoted to have said anything neither in affirmation nor denunciation. However, news got to our newsdesk that Dickson Orlu Pawa’s name was not in a letter written by Hon. Atoza Ihindan owing to threats to his life.

DPO Dominic Iornumbe is the new man rumoured to be tipped for the CSO job. He was once the Benue state  Police PRO and is presently the DPO of B division in Makurdi and hails from Tarka LGA. Iornumbe has two masters degrees and served in the past as a P.A  to former DIG John Haruna, in Benue State.

Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has put in place an amnesty programme for the many natives who would lay down their arms and join the civil society. At a recent media parley with Benue born journalists in the FCT, the governor disclosed the intention of one of the alleged hoodlums, ‘Gana’ to surrender his arms.
