Governor Bello Mohammed (Matawallen Maradun) has commiserated with victims of recent banditry in Tsafe Local Go ernment area of the state.
Governor Matawalle expressed his heartfelt sympathy again while delivering his eid-el-fitri message marking the end of this year’s fasting period.
“I would like to also use this occasion to express my deep sympathy and register my condolences to families affected by the recent wave of banditry in the villages of Unguwar Rogo, Karda, Bidda and Kajera of Tsafe Local Government Area, and Kabaje of Kaura Namoda Local Government Area” Matawalle added.
He reiterated his commitment to stamp a final end to banditry in the state which is now reduced drastically to its barest minimum. Governor Matawalle said,
“Since the recent incidents, I have been working round the clock, having sleepless nights, holding meetings with the security chieftains and other stakeholders in the State and receiving regular briefs from them on the issue. We have also received assurances from the leaders of the Fulani groups, which have embraced our peace overtures that they would reach out to the recalcitrant groups responsible for the attacks and persuade them to accept our peace pact”.
Governor Matawalle promised to contue to honor the pact between his government and the repentant bandits in the state.
