Governor Lamido Revokes Road Contract Awarded To CGC Company Worth Over N11 Billion By Umar Faruq Usman Dutse

Jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido has revoked the road construction worth N11 billion which was awarded to CGC Construction Company, this was disclosed by the State Commissioner for Information Youth, Culture and Sports Alhaji Babandi Ibrahim Gumel, who announced the revocation of the contracts after the council meeting held at Government House Dutse.
He said, the first contract was the construction of Andaza to Gadewa road which was formally awarded to CGC Construction Company which has now been revoked and re-awarded to Messer Alarm Construction Company at a total sum of over N5.7 billion.
Babandi maintained that, the second contract was the construction of Kila to Zandam road which was formally awarded to Wurno Construction Company, as he said that the contract was revoked and re-awarded to Milestone Nigeria Company at total cost of over N5.3 billion.
The Commissioner also explained that during the meeting the council also approved the award of contract for construction of Gagarawa to Bosuwa road at a total cost of over N3.16 billion naira.
According to him, the contract was awarded to Solid Sun construction limited with a completion period of 18 months.
Babandi added that, the executive council also approved the award of contract for the construction of Kyarama to Shengun road which has a total distance of 29.9 kilometre at a total cost of N3.8 billion naira and the contract was awarded to Gerawa Global Limited expected to be completed within the next 18 months.
