In an effort to reduce challenges of insecurity in Jos North Local Government Council of Plateau State , Governor Simon Bako Lalong has embarked on the commissioning of numerous projects executed by Chairman, Hon.Bala Shehu Usman .
Philip Eplong, the Media Aide to the Executive Chairman, Jos North Local Government in a statement to media in Jos says, the administration is desirous to better the lives of citizenry.
The Governor Commissioned a Police Outpost and ten motorcycles for onward distribution to various conventional and non-conventional security outfits in Haske quarters, Kunyi Katseh Gwafan to improve strategic and tactical operational deployment.
Lalong also commissioned a Pediatric Hospital and Women’s Clinics in Fudawa Naraguta B Ward of Jos North Local Government Area as employed them to make good use of it to the benefit of the general public .
While commissioning the projects, Governor Lalong commended the efforts of the Chairman of Jos North Local Government Shehu Bala Usman in advancing the commitment of his administration to constructing a modernized Police Outpost in the area fully equipped with operational motorcycles to ensure motivated and citizens focused police force.
This Governor Lalong said would increase a re-oriented Police Force to sustain its professionalism, and operational efficiency to meet best global best practices in policing the area, the state and the nation at large.
Represented by the Special Adviser on Inter Party Affairs, Bashir sati , Governor Lalong said the motorcycles acquired by the Chairman of Jos North Local Government Council would encourage and enhance the capacity of the Nigeria Police Force and other sister agencies to manage civil disorder in line with the acceptable national legal framework and global law enforcement protocols.
The Governor expressed delight with the number of projects executed by Shehu Usman led administration.
The Governor called on the Conventional and non Conventional actors as well as the communities where the police Outpost is situated, to make good use of the edifice aimed at protecting lives and property of citizens.
The Governor described Usman as a grass root politician who has inspires him in all responsibilities and duties which he occupied by law as Chairman which justifies the confidence reposed in him by the electorates.
Adagwon Jos Izere , Emmanuel Ajik appreciated Governor Lalong and the Chairman of Jos North Local Government Council Shehu Bala Usman for carrying traditional rulers along in their government which according to the monarch is manifested through upgrading of the status of traditional institution and assured him of their support to the Police Force to ensure a crime free society.
On his part, chairman of Jos North Local Government Council Shehu Bala Usman said peace, security, Education, Youth and Women empowerment were among the policy trust of his administration.
This he said was designed in line with the vision of Governor Simon Lalong to give citizens within the locality a future and hope.
According to the Chairman, this was achieved through the implementation of its programmes in all facets of his administration which gave birth to the inauguration of the people-centred projects in the locality.
Commissioner of Police, Plateau State Command , Bartholomew Onyeka represented by the Divisional Police Officer of C Division, Superintendent Larrycarr Augustus expressed gratitude to the Council Chairman for his continuous partnership with the Nigeria Police Force and assured him of the police determination to deploy the needed manpower to the edifice to safeguard lives and property.
Governor Simon Lalong also took time off to commissioned the Jos North Local Government Council Peadiatric Hospital and Women Clinic.
The District Head of Fudawa Haruna Itse, Youths and Women as well as the representative of Haske quanters community, Ayuba Pyokdom appreciated the Jos North Local Government Council Chairman for the gesture and assured the Chairman of their unalloyed support.
