Governor Al-Makura’s Special Adviser On Development Control Lament High Rate Of Corruption In Nasarawa State

Piqued over the high rate of corruption in Nasarawa State, the Special Adviser to Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura on Development Control, Arch. Stanley Buba has lament over the involvement of persons in government in sharp practices.

Buba disclosed this when members of the State Executive Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists paid him a courtesy visit at his office.

He identified one of the Companies in the State that was ruined by management due to corrupt tendency of the management as the moribund Nasarawa Investment and Property Development Company (NIPDC).

The S.A cautious Journalists in the State to shun sensational reporting, saying sensational reporting has negative impact on the lives of the citizenry

He further opined that bad reports have negative impact of tearing the society apart.

Stanley Buba expressed concerned over the activities of some Journalists for reporting one-sided reportage.

“At times some Journalists don’t confirm their report before going to the press”.

“One bad news can cause war while one good news will effect change”.

Urging Journalists to remind focused in their reportage, he thanked the SEC members for the visit as he promised to support Journalists at all times.

The State chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Nasarawa State Council, Comrade Dogo Shammah described the S.A on Development control as the number friend to the press.

Attesting that the appointment of Arch. Stanley Buba ,the former council chairman of Akwanga Local Area to man Development Control as a capable man for the Job.

Shammah called on the affluent in the state to imbibe the spirit of patronage of the Press Centre.
