In preparation to 2015 general election, The fate of the sitting governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura hang on the balance if the opposition party in the state, The People’s Democratic Party decided to recommend the immediate past governor of the state whose regime ended the administration of the PDP in 2011 governorship election.
The much anticipated epic quest to return to the Shendam road government House by the PDP remain unclear depending on the governorship candidate that arose in December party primaries , The PDP will have a landslide victory in next year’s election if it endorsed  Aliyu Akwe Doma whose second term bide was truncated by the All Progressives Congress, The maximum gaffe of the PDP in 2015 is to endorse an ostracized candidate .The former governor heralded the affairs of the state under peaceful atmosphere with less communal and ethnic crisis in parts of Nasarawa west and south.
Doma still command majority of his cabinet members, Out of the over 17 commissioners only few left, The present Provost College of Education,Akwanga,Rebecca Umar Issac was the only one that accepted appointment under this regime, Al-Makura even before the expiration of his four years in office loses his commissioner of ranging from the commissioner of Rural Development,Angama Webey decamped to the PDP.
The ex-cabinet member has since declare his intention to contest for member Federal House of Representative representing,Karu,Keffi,Kokona while his commissioner of Justice, Innocent Lagi who was appointed unconditional as a member of the Labour Party is also contesting for governorship under the L.P.
The absence of political appointees like commissioners in some ministries will cause a serious fissure in some Local Governments, And the possible of appointing new commissioners dangle on the balance due to the yet to settle political scuffle that supervened barely five months ago.
Akwe Doma no doubt command majority of the state executives of the party, The control he has over the party headship in the state  may not be unconnected  to the many scrapes amid  Doma and his political godfather,Abdullahi Adamu,The quest to plant some of his loyalist  failed miserably at the party’s congress held at the hall of the Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa, The defect of the party in governorship election can be attributed to the stalemates sandwich between  Doma and Adamu leading to the emergence of concerned group of the PDP.
The former governor up to this moment has control over monarchs in the state; The control and respect still remain fresh in the mind of traditional rulers who leave fat under the Badakoshi scheme, The former governor apart from opening some rural roads like Akpanaja-Rukubi-Akpatta-Doma road,A road that shared boundary with neighboring Benue state, That road was a complete nightmare during raining season, Despite been that the road was not completed to Nasarawa boundary with Benue state.
Welfarism was the second name of the ex-governor not like the present regime, contracts were shared among party members but accorded to few individuals.
In Al-Makura’s case major stakeholders has since dumped the party to the PDP, Some of the heavyweights that change tent from the APC to the PDP are
1. Damishe Luka Barau-The sitting deputy governor
2. Solomon Ewuga-APC senator representing Nasarawa North
3. Hon.David Ombugadu member House of representatives, representing Akwanga, Nasarawa Eggon, Wamba
4. Hon.Ishaq Kana House of representative representing Karu, Kokona, Keffi.
5. Hon Haruna Kigbu member House of representatives representing Lafia,Obi federal constituency and
6.Hon Nathaniel Agyo Mesa member House of Assembly representing Lafia East constituency, Others that join the PDP from other parties are
Hon Adamu Sule Liman- ex-S.A to governor Al-Makura also decamp to the PDP
Professor Onje Gye Wado, former deputy governor and a governorship aspirant in 2011 election under the ACN formally join the PDP.
Nawani Aboki also a governorship contender in 2011 election under the auspice of the Labour Party joins PDP, excluding other supporters across the state.
Again the chairman of the CPC harmonization committee ,Stanley Buba dumped the party,Nothwithstanding the defection of Abdullahi Adamu,a two time governor of the state to the APC is not yardstick for the party to reclaim the state in 2015,Other chieftain of the PDP that decamp to the APC are Ambassador Suleiman Azorres,Dr.Lawal Hassan, Retired General Abdullahi Aboki,ex-military governor of Kwarra state ,Ibrahim Rufai,Hajiya Rakiya,Aliyu Bello and shakers of the party are no longer seen at the party functions aftershock of the disaster experienced during the issuance of permanent membership card of the party, The disagreement is over but dark cloud still hovers in the sky.
Another worst part of the present administration was the promulgation of consequential policies which include the pronouncement of the free primary and secondary education, a policy that was revised 10 months after which pupils and students were compelled to pay N2, 290 for school fees.
The failure of Al-Makura to fulfilled his covenant with the people in the area of establishment of airdrome, mono rail-line, three arm zones, integrated state secretariat, reversing of free Medicare for the aged, expectant mothers, children below five years and free treatment for the physically challenged persons is a mouth pouring promises.
During the administration of Akwe Doma few crème de ‘le crème of the party jump ship but not like now that the state was ruled by two political parties, The state governor and his cabinet members belong to the ruling party, The APC while the deputy governor and 20 members of the House of Assembly are from the PDP family given the opposition party an overwhelming voice in the Assembly.
Some of the hurdles of Al-Makura include his inability to convince a single member of the House of Assembly to flit to the ruling party instead the APC is losing grip of it stakeholders on daily basis.
The current governor  will have a field if the PDP endorse Akwe Doma as the party flagbearer,But if the intervention of the presidency and the national secretariat to endorse the immediate past minister of Information,Labaran Maku as a consensus candidate the PDP will not only lose the state but it core supporters reasons been that Maku is from the Eggon speaking people ,A tribe having problem with almost all the ethnic groups in the state, This a clear pointer that the candidature of the immediate past minister is death before arrival.

Akwe Doma may overshadow the ruling governor due to his leadership style not like Umaru Tanko Al-Makura  who starve ministries, boards, agencies, higher institutions of  learning  of fund to pilot the running’s of their various offices,
