Governor Umaru Tanko Al-makura has expressed dissatisfaction over low turnout of stakeholders at a book launch that chronicled his achievements since 2011.

Al-Makura who was represented by the Deputy Governor, Hon. Silas Agara regretted the low turnout while making his final remarks at the Book Launch at the Taal conference hotel in Lafia on Tuesday.

“I am dissatisfied with the low turnout in the special book launch which chronicles my achievements by the correspondent chapel Nasarawa chapter, Nigerian Union of Journalists”.

The governor however commended the reporters in the state under the umbrella body known as the correspondents’ Chapel Nasarawa Chapter, acknowledged and chronicled every detail of his achievements since 2011.

The Book titled ” Governor Al-Makura: Expanding the Frontiers of Democratic Governance in Nasarawa state, chronicled Al-Makura’s achievements in the health, education and urban rural developments sectors in the state.

The Book Launch which was massively advertised was expected to have in attendance cronies and supporters of governor Al-Makura but unfortunately none of his commissioners (with exception of that of information), House of Assembly members, Permanent Secretaries, heads of institutions and agencies

Some of the stakeholders present but unhappy with the low turn said the turnout is a signal that Al-Makura’s people are not with him.
