Governor Al-Makura Constructed Over 1000Kms of Roads in Nasarawa State- Works

The incumbent administration of the ruling All Progressives Congress in Nasarawa state has under the headship of governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura constructed over 1000 road network across length and breadth of the state.

The state commissioner of Works and Transport, Yahaya Wada said the road network include asphalt, concrete, surface dressing and overlaying, the commissioner said from the 1000 Kilometers 300Km are township roads.

“Intercity roads are mostly surface dressing, while township roads are either concrete or asphalt”. When asked over the delay in the construction of Akpanaja-Okpatta-Agbashi road and the delay in the execution of Adudu-Azara road.

Yahaya Wada faulted the successive administration of Aliyu Akwe Doma for the over pricing of the project, as he said the project for the construction of Akpanaja-Okpatta-Agbashi was yet to be awarded.

Where chunk amount of money was expended, honorable Yahaya Wada attributed the failure Farin Ruwa HEPP.

Wada identified some of the huddles of the projects to lack of proper assessment of the environment and visibility study, he added.

“This government under Al-Makura is mindful of the sustainability of any project is about investing, we have taken a position to have an alternative which is solar power looking at the 12 megawatt power supply”.

“A lot of issues happen along the line as there is nothing to commensurate with the chunk amount of money invested in the unproductive project, the worst was that the security at the site ignited fire and carted away some valuables”.
