Governor Al-Makura Chief Press Secretary Sues  For Cooperation Amongst Practicing Journalists

The Chief Press Secretary to Nasarawa State governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, Musa Elayo has sue for the cooperation and understanding of practicing Journalists in the state

Elayo disclosed this during a solidarity visit by the Correspondents’ Chapel at his office in government House, Lafia.

He called on members of the Correspondents’ Chapel to forget the past by working assiduously with the incumbent government.

He said the governor was under reported, saying reporting the activities of the ruling All Progressives Congress under governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura would spur him to do more.

“We should forget about the past and forge ahead as colleagues instead of apportioning blame on each other”.

He attested that is going to be a paradigm shift under his watch,said the spokesperson on media.

“I’m assuring you that this not the time to brutalize Journalists but rather to mend falling fences”.

Elayo said Journalists should expect a better synergy between his office and the members of the fourth estate of the realm.

The Chairman of the Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Suleiman Abubakar congratulated the CPS over his new appointment by the Chief executive.

Abubakar affirmed that the appointment was well deserved appointment and promised to work with him.

“Your invitation of the members of the Correspondents’ Chapel is a sign of good things to happen.

The National Vice President zone D, of the NUJ, Chief Wilson Bako commended Musa Elayo over his appointment.

He called on the Chief Press Secretary to carry all and sundry along.

He advised him to avoid side talks and gossip, saying rumor and gossip is a serious obstacle that would distract his work.
