Governing Council Nasarawa State Polytechnic Lafia Dismiss Bursar, Registrar Over Financial Embezzlement And Aggrandizement

The government of Nasarawa State has approved the dismissal of two principal officers of the Nasarawa State Polytechnic, Lafia

 

The affected staff, the Registrar, Joseph Labani Dio and, Bursar, Abdullahi Akyo with immediate effect.

 

The press statement was signed by the Secretary to the Governing Council,and Acting Registrar of the ,Muktar Wakeel and made available to Journalists.

 

“The Governing Council of Nasarawa State, Lafia in line with the decisions of government white on the report of the The Investigative Committee into the activities of the Nasarawa State Polytechnic, Lafia has approved the dismissal of two principal officers namely Joseph Labani Dio, Registrar and Bursar, Abdullahi Akyo.

 

Furthermore, the Council has directed the two principal officers to refund all the monies standing against them in the white paper which bothered on Corruption, Misappropriation of public funds and Abuse of public trust.

 

The Chairman Governing Council ,His Royal Highness,the Emir of Karshi,Sani Mohammed Bako were directed to handover all official documents and other properties in their possession to the Covering Rector, Augustine Ali Gabu.
