His Excellency Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje OFR inspected the Royal Yard which is where the state owned road construction heavy equipments are being kept.
Governor Ganduje’s administration has injected the sum of 50 million naira for the repairs of these equipments back in February this year and they will be used primarily for the construction of 500 kilometres of road in rural areas by direct labour. His Excellency stated that the works will commence immediately after the rainy season and alot of jobs will be created.
In total, the equipments repaired include:
11 Bulldozers
14 Water tankers
7 Graders
6 loaders
3 Excavators
2 Tippers
All these equipment were bought 20-30yrs ago by the then administrations of Late Audu Bako and his successor Late Abubakar Rimi.
