Gov Al-Makura Doles out Relief Material worth N38m To Internally Displaced Persons By Rabiu Omaku,Lafia

We are chasing shadows instead of pursuing what is good for the benefit of the citizenry, The Nasarawa state governor,Umaru Tanko  Al-Makura stated this while reacting on the upheaval of communal and ethnic conflict in the state.
The governor gave the indication at the flagging-off of the distribution of Relief Material to Internally Displaced Persons in the state,Al-Makura attributed the rising spate of ethnic and communal clash to the handiwork of people he described as traitors sabotaging the effort of the present administration.
He assured all displaced persons that were displaced from their abode in the recent clash to their permanent home, He pledged that all the vulnerable communities in the state of the security of lives and properties, adding that arrangement has been completed to return all displaced persons back home.
The chief executive disclosed that the relief material distribution was to enable all displaced persons to return home ahead of the issuance of permanent voter’s card and registration of eligible voters card come next week.
Those communities that benefited from the relief material are Arikya,Wamba,Nasarawa Eggon,Daddere,Obi,Assakio,Agyaragu,Agyaragun Tofa,Ugah,Ashangwa,Bakyano,Fulani community and Iggah.
Al-Makura while commenting on the yet to be implemented whitepaper on ethnic and communal violence that wreak havoc to the state including security agents killed,
The Chief executive averred that all aspects of the Whitepaper have been formalized except the security aspect.

He advice all stakeholders in the state to stay in their constituency   and work towards attaining a permanent peace in the,Al-Makura opined that the incumbent regime will accord premise  to Community Based Conflict Approach.
