The Economic and Financial crime commission hearing on Tuesday was stalled by the absence of two of the accused persons in Plateau state.
The Federal High Court sitting in Jos on the 12th April,2016 in a suit FHC/GM/33/2014 adjourned the case owing to the fact that the first accused person Sen.Danjuma Goje and Gabo Mohammed were absent for the sitting .
He said former Governor of Gombe state now senator and four orders accused, also two are present and two persons absent were on national assignment on budget and accident .
The counsel to the two accused Bar Adeniyi ,Adelayo tender their apologies on behalf of his clients .
According to him, one Gabo Mohammed involved in an accident in which he broke his arms is currently receiving treatment at federal Teaching Hospital Gombe state and couldn’t be present in court.
In his prayer ,the lead counsel attached medical report before the honourable court for prompt scrutiny.
Also responding ,counsel to EFCC Bar Wahab Shittu admitted that on Monday at about 5 am he received communication that one of the person is involved in an accident and currently on treatment and the other on national assignment.
He explained further that; “we are simply satisfy here with this adjournment we have nothing on ground distracting us in EFCC but we are ready to continue with the proceedings and hearing on June when the two accused are ready.
