The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3Div and Operation Safe Haven (OPSH), Maj. Gen. E. F. Oyinlola, has said “he will leave no stone unturned in arresting the perpetrators of this heinous act of gruesome murder of Mrs Tabitha Dafer.
“Our aim is not only to bring the culprits to book, but also to serve as a deterrent to other criminal elements who may be contemplating similar actions,” he said.
Maj. Gen. Oyinlola also reassured the community of his determination to end the cycle of violence within his area of operation, ensuring a safer and more secure environment for all.
He emphasized that the Nigerian Army will work tirelessly to ensure that peace and security are restored to the community.
Following the visit to the community, Mwolpun and Maj. Gen. Oyinlola proceeded to the Mishkaham Mwaghavul palace to condole with the traditional council and reassure them of the Council’s commitment to ensuring justice and security for all citizens.
Meanwhile,the Executive Chairman of Mangu Local Government, Hon. Emmanuel Bala Mwolpun, strongly condemned the heinous act of brutality that led to the murder of Mrs. Tabitha Dafer in Lighitlubang community, Bungha District, Mangu LGA.
Mwolpun stated this when he visited the Lighitlubang community today alongside the General Officer Commanding (GOC) Plateau State, Maj. Gen. E. F. Oyinlola, to assess the situation following the tragic incident.
The Chairman expressed his deep shock and sadness at the tragic loss of life. “On behalf of the Mangu Local Government Council, I wish to extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and loved ones of Late Mrs. Tabitha Dafer during this difficult time,” he said.
Mwolpun said the council is aware of the concerns and fears that this incident has raised among citizens and reassured the people that they are working closely with the Plateau State Government to address the security challenges facing the local government area.
“We are committed to ensuring the safety and security of all our citizens, and we will do everything within our power to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future,” Mwolpun assured.
The Council is working round the clock to bring an end to the security challenges facing the community and will continue to collaborate with the state government, security agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure that the local government area is safe and secure for all.
Mwolpun, on behalf of the Council, offers his sincerest condolences to the family and loved ones of Late Mrs. Tabitha Dafer. He prayed that God Almighty grants her eternal rest, comfort her loved ones in this difficult time, and bring lasting peace to the community.
