The former Governor of Plateau State, Senator Jonah David Jang has urged the People Democratic Party ,PDP ,candidate for 2019 general elections ,Sen Jeremiah Timbut Useni to go and appeal this miscarriage of Justice done to the Plateau electorates who were disenfranchised and denied their votes being counted.
Jang expressed support to PDP Governorship Candidate in the last election Senator Jeremiah Timbut Useni on his legal effort to recover the mandate.
Media Consultant to Senator, Lt. Gen (Rtd) Jeremiah Timbut Useni, DSS, Fwc, mni, CFR.Yiljap Abraham says , Sen Jang gave his support during a solidarity visit on Thursday evening at the Jos residence of Senator Useni.
Sen Jang said he was saddened by the judgement of the Plateau Governorship Election Petition Tribunal.
“However, I am optimistic that we have a good case at the appellate court. In fact, the city of Jos was rather in a mourning mood yesterday after the judgement which signifies the level of disappointment of Plateau people at the verdict.”
He encouraged Sen. Useni to remain strong-hearted, patient and to continue the struggle. “I assure of my unconditional support.”
In response, Sen Useni said the visit by Sen Jang is a morale-booster to him to continue to pursue the recovery of the seat.
“I really thank you for his show of statesmanship and camaraderie.”
Sen Useni received Sen Jang in company of his Running Mate, Dr. James Dalok and the State Party Chairman, Hon D.T. Sango.
