GNS Suffers Loss At Appeal Court Over Forensic Witness

The All Progressives Congress (APC), in Plateau State has said that the Former Governor of the State Senator Jonah Jang is more of a dividing than unifying factor of the People.

The State Secretary of the party Bashir Musa Sati made this known yesterday, while fielding questions from our correspondent at his residence, where he commended the Jos division of the Court of Appeal.

Sati who was reacting to the judgment of the Federal Court of Appeal which was delivered on Tuesday, at which the APC emerged victorious over the matter of forensic witness and the document he presented at the law tribunal in the petition filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and its candidate Gyang Pwajok.

He said now that the appeal court have ruled that the lower tribunal cannot make use of any of the documents tendered by the PDP’s forensic expert witness; “it means that the tribunal would not rely on any of the documents submitted.”

Sati explained that the APC have been to the court of appeal following the acceptance of the PDP, witness on forensic by the lower tribunal in the Governorship election because they are not satisfied with the tribunal decision.

On the statement credited to Senator Jang, “in the Pilot newspapers of yesterday (Tuesday), at which he was quoted as saying the APC did not win election in the state, it was a surprise to me.”

He said it is surprising for Jang who had been an incumbent Governor for eight years, with all manners of Government machineries at his disposal and could turn to say that; “someone rigged the election in the state.”

Sati further said from all indication Jang have not been in the right picture of the tribunal proceedings.

“Even with his temporary victory at the tribunal we thought that he will concentrate at trying to unite the People of the State, as a Senator at the top, but to my greatest surprise Baba is looking into another way, of trying to divide the People,” Sati alluded.
