Funtua Axis Arba’een Trek Day 2: Malam Kasimu Commends Public Support By Ibrahim Usman

Members of the Islamic Movement currently on mass symbolic trek to Hussainiyyah Baqiyyatullah, Zaria on second day took off from Gangara town at 9 am.

Before the take-off, Ameer of Sokoto Zone, Malam Kasimu Umar expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the trek by participants, as well the public support along the route.

He said, the support and accommodation being offered by residents along the route was as a result of the impact of the trek.

He further explained that about 140 residents have vacated their houses to accommodate participants, saying that the gesture was worthy of emulation.

Malam Kasimu Umar also said, there was no report of security challenge so far, and hoped that the trek will end peacefully as expected.

He called for continued proper conduct and prayers for Allah’s protection.
