Fresh Crisis Rocks Adamawa Assembly Over Dissolution Of Finance And Budget Committee

The Adamawa state House of Assembly yesterday in a plenary moved a motion and dissolved a committee on Appropriation and Budget over peddling false information and misguided utterance by the committee’s chairman.

The motion was moved by a member representing Girei,Hon Mohammed Mutawalli to dissolve the committee base on the unguided information passed across to the people of the state concerning a virment  letter submitted Honourable house by the Governor seeking their approval to adjust it.

The Chairman committee on Information, Hon. Hassan Barguma faulted and accused the Chairman committee on Appropriation and Budget,Abdulrahaman Abubakar Isa to have wrongly over misinformed the people of the state with his unguided misquotations.

Barguma continue to say that the House on plenary where 22 members and only 1say the letter should not be approved, it shows we  unanimously agreed to approved the virment letter for the Governor.

“You see the letter brought to the House by the Governor is to seeking our approval on already letter earlier submitted to adjust the money on ongoing projects in the state, not to do it out of plan that is all in the content of the letter “. He said

“For him to go and have a press conference after the House plenary disputing what the Honourable house agreed upon is totally unconstitutional an act tantamount to even suspension, does it mean is bigger than the entire Adamawa House of Assembly? Oh is it good for one member to over right the view of the majority? We dissolved the committee base on the behavior of the chairman of the committee “. He added.

On his submission the dissolved chairman maintained that all he knows is working for the interest of Adamawa people and some lawmakers are not happy with what is doing and he will soon expose their nakedness.

The dissolved committee headed by Hon. Abdulrahaman Abubakar is now to be handle by the selection committee pending when a new leader going to be selected.
