Four Opposition Parties In Adamawa To Support The Candidature Of Nuhu Ribadu By Tom Garba, Yola

Four opposition parties Gubernatorial candidates in Adamawa on Thursday pledged to shift their loyalty for PDP to ensure the victory  of Mallam Nuhu Ribadu of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the Governorship of the state.

The candidates comprising that of Mega Progressive Peoples Party (MPPP), National Conscience Party (NCP), All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) and KOWA Party (KP) at a press briefing in Yola said they decided to abandoned their ambition and work for Ribadu in the interest of the state.
Their statement which was read by the Gubernatorial Candidate of MPPP, Abdulnasir Umar, said their action was out of concern to ensure that Adamawa has the best as governor.
“Our decision was compelled by our desire to put in place a credible government that Adamawa people can be proud of.

” We shall work hand-in-hand in installing a credible and reliable government that would move Adamawa state forward.” the statement said.

Responding on behalf of Ribadu Campaign Organization, the Secretary of the organization, Alhaji Saidu Haladu, described the development as a big catch that further strengthened the chances of Ribadu.


” This development and other endorsements by groups and associations in the state further brighten the chances of Ribadu as well as confirms the fact that PDP is the party to beat in Adamawa,” Haladu said.
