Forum of National Youths Presidents Ethnic Nationalities Condems Attacks On Tiv, Bassa/Igbira Communities In Nasarawa State

The Forum of National Youths Presidents Ethnic Nationalities in Nasarawa State has condemned the rising spate of attacks meted on TIV communities in Nasarawa South senatorial zone and Bassa/Igbira communities in Western zone of the State.

The coordinating President of the forum,Bar. Iliya Ashokpa Auna disclosed this during a press conference held at the press centre,Lafia.

The President who double as the Alago  Youth President condemned the indiscriminate killings in Nasarawa State and across the country.

The forum also condemned the high rate of other crimes such as robbery, Kidnapping and Child abuse.

Calling on security agencies and government at all levels to live up to the task of securing lives and properties of Nigerians irrespective of tribe or religion.

The group appreciate the governor of Nasarawa State,Umaru Tanko Al-Makura in the area of infrastructural development.

Appealing  as a matter of urgency to equipped all the newly constructed health centres across the State to further improve health care services in the State.

Calling on the State government to accord urgent attention to the reconstruction of dilapidated Primary schools in the rural areas.

The forum also appealed to governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura to accord topmost attention to link rural communities to the urban areas through infrastructure.

“This press conference is necessitated owing to the fact that the future is ours and we are also major stakeholders in Nasarawa State project,saying the desire of the forum is to see that Nasarawa State transform into a suburb of world class cities with employment opportunities, a robust economy and above all a peaceful State.

” We have observed keenly the political and socioeconomic trajectories of the State since creation and we are desirous to make positive inputs towards realizing the State of our dreams and secure the future of our youths”.

Appealing to the State government to accord impetus to Youth entrepreneurship ,saying single effort would boost the economy of the State.

The forum also demanded for accountability and transparency in government spending of public funds at all levels of governance.
