Former Perm Secretary,Wadak Battles To Unseat Senator Dariye In 2019 Plateau Central Senatorial Election

The former Permanent Secretary, Ministry Of Finance turned politician, Mr. Isaac Wadak has indicated interest to replace former Governor Joshua Dariye now the senator representing Plateau Central senatorial seat in the upper chamber, come 2019 general election.

In his close chat with our correspondent over the weekend, Mr. Wadak expressed his vision of touching grassroots people through a well-coordinated program of transforming rural communities.

He said what really encourage him to vie for the senatorial seat of Plateau central district is to add value to the democratic tenets of promoting people’s oriented projects that have a direct impact to the development of Plateau.

According to him; “I want to use this opportunity to declare my intention to join the race of Plateau central senatorial seat,” as he is hailed from Kabir in Pada Ward, Kanke Local Government Area of Plateau state.

Wadak raised alarm over the killing and insecurity bedeviling the country which he said requires urgent measures to address the menace of farmers, herdsmen clashes that need prompt action.

He explained; “I am prepared to add value and quality to the contest of the position as well as also provide the electorates with variety to make them chose who the right choice to represent them is “.

Speaking on his relationship with the grassroots politics, Mr. Wadak said, throughout my career, I built cordial and mutual respect with the people of my constituents and now I have vowed to offer myself for good representation.

He pointed out that the basic chance left for him now if given the mandate come 2019 is; “I shall return back power to the people because what I discover with Nigerian politicians in a democracy is the recycle of themselves as a  clique of individuals who are desperate for the position after that they abandon the people.

However, he told journalists that democracy is all about good governance, that this is what the people want especially people-oriented projects such as boreholes, good roads, and others.

Mr. Isaac Wadak noted that as part of his electioneering campaign, he will take care of youth empowerment by interacting with them to know their area of needs.

He drummed support for the anti-grazing arrangement which is attracting national discord amongst political class.

Meanwhile, his Campaign Director, Alhaji Yakubu Umar Kanam assured the electorates of abundance and quality representation by the able leadership of Mr. Isaac Wadak.

The DG described Wadak as a man of integrity, honesty and transparent leader whose track record of achievement speaks volumes with a laudable program for women, youth and all categories of people.

Umar said the organization will soon kick-start the necessary program across the wards, polling units towards sensitizing the grassroots mobilizers in Plateau central district.
