Former Nigeria International, Peter Ogaba is Dead

Former Nigeria International Peter Ogaba, is dead. According to the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF in its twitter handle, tweeted that Peter Ogaba is dead.

The football body in its twitter handle @ thenff stated thus; “Ogaba died at his residence in Abuja after a brief illness. He was until his death Coach of an Abuja based side City Strikers FC.Pulse Sports have heard from a source about the death of former Nigeria international, Peter Ogaba.

“Peter Ogaba is famous for being the youngest Nigerian player at the FIFA U-20 World Cup hosted by Saudi Arabia in 1989 where Nigeria lost in the final to eventual winners, Portugal,” NFF said.

Tweeting further NFF said; “We are shocked to hear of the sad demise of fmr Junior Int’l Peter Ogaba. Ogaba was part of the Eaglets at Canada 87,Ogaba made Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets team at the age of 13 before playing for a professional club.”

Ogaba also played in Europe for KSC Lokeren in Belgium, FC Oulu in Finland, Duisburg in German, Desportivo Club Beja in Portugal, Leiftur in Iceland, Boldklub Hostelbus of Danmark etc.
