Former Nasarawa Deputy Governor Abducted, Immigration Officer Others Escaped

The first civilian Deputy Governor, Professor Onje Gye-wado has been kidnapped in his country home of Wamba Local Government of the State.

An impeccable source revealed that Gye–Wado was picked by abductors who were in numbers when they storm his abode.

As of press time today (Friday) there was no communication between the kidnappers and the relative of the University Don.

Feelers available also confirmed the escapade of an Immigration officer while other sources alleged that one immigration officer was shot to death by the kidnappers.

The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP. Raham Nansel could not be reached at press time.

It could be recalled that over 35 people has so far been kidnapped within two weeks in Nasarawa State.
