Former Lawmaker Says Only Internal Democracy Would Strengthen Political Participation

Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Nasarawa State, Hon. Ahmed Aliyu Wadada has called on party members to accord topmost commitment to the payment of dues.

Wadada hinted this during the launching of photobook and Almanac of the party in Lafia during the weekend.

The former member Federal House of Representatives representing Keffi, Kokona, Karu says the prompt payment of party dues would make the party wax stronger financially.

He challenged party members to contribute immensely to the party, saying movers and shakers include all and sundry should make a meaningful effort towards building a robust and virile party.

“We shouldn’t wait for an opportunity like this before making a contribution to the party”.

Adding that the happening today marks a sign of internal democracy, the former member Federal House of Representatives representing Keffi, Kokona, Karu during the launching procured 3,822 copies of the state photobook at the tune of N3, 822 to the 3,822 electoral wards.

He further bought 338 copies to the 338 officials and also procured 16 copies to the 16 state executive members donates N4.8m.

He, in addition, bought 100 copies to members of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, other governorship candidates of the party, Halilu Emvulanza donated a whooping N5m, Engr Sule, the Manager Dangote Sugar Company donated N2m respectively.

Arch. Muhammed Ja’afar a governorship candidate and an incumbent member House of Representatives representing Toto/Nasarawa donated N1m.

While Niger state government donated N1 million and Plateau state N2 million and Ibrahim Masari from Katsina state, the National welfare secretary procured copies to the tune of N3 million and copies for the state government at the rate of N2 million.
