Forget 2019, Youth Activist Tells Gov Lalong

A youth activist in Plateau State Hon Emmanuel Macham has called on Governor Simon Lalong to rebuild and return all internally displaced people to their ancestral homes or forget his 2019 ambition

 

In his interview Macham reminded the Governor of Plateau state over the incessant attack on villages and destruction of properties and farmland by suspected herdsmen in Daffo in Bokkos ,Barkin Ladi ,Riyom ,Mangu and Bassa local government areas of Plateau state.

 

According to him, the way and manner these herders masquerade and kill Plateau natives without provocation shows the Lalong government is incompetent to manage the security affairs of the state.

 

Speaking to Journalists at the NUJ, Plateau state Council on Monday, Hon Emmanuel Macham charged Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State to forget his reelection bid in 2019

 

Macham stressed the mandate given Governor Simon Lalong by Plateau people were a mistake in 2015 and we are willing to make amend in the forthcoming elections.

 

He lamented the recent massacre of more than 300 people with thousands displaced in their homes and property worth millions of naira destroyed in Daffo, Gashis, Kakuruk, Exland etc.

 

Macham disclosed further that this are very fertile lands that no right thinking Government could go sleep and allow the occupants to murder or displaced ,yet the Governor has refused  visit the effected villages.

 

He commended  men of the Nigerian security forces, especially the STF command here on the Plateau state, for their courage they exhibit in bring the situation under control which is the  true  meaning of patriotism in defending the innocent citizens of this great country.
