An investigation by our correspondent in the State revealed that about 11 hamlets were affected but only 4 were destroyed.
The place was affected include Dagatawa, Haladawa, Dubantu, Kofar Fada and Tudun Bayi.
According to our reporter, the majority of the families have been sleeping outside.
The Executive secretary of the state Emergency Management Board Alhaji Sani Yusuf Babura confirmed the incident, where he showed his sympathy to the communities.
He further explained that 5000 bags of Garri, 50,000 bags of groundnut cake and 5000 sacks of sugar were distributed to save the lives of communities affected.
In addition; the State Commissioner for Health Dr. Abba Zakari assured the people of Auyo and its environs that government will provide them with the necessary materials to protect them from further flooding.
In addition, he promised them that the government will build an emergency primary health care clinics to each community affected.
