A development Programme Partner known as DeveloPPP has had its delegation visit the Redeemer Teap International School Abuja. The organization is part of a funding program of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Corporation and Development (BMZ).
The visit took place on Monday 22nd April 2024 under the auspices of Fĺexisaf Edusoft Limited, the company that is dedicated to providing impactful end-to-end education software solutions aimed at reinventing learning and simplifying all processes for educational institutions.
DeveloPPP while speaking said its visit is to evaluate possible areas and levels of collaboration with suitable institutions towards the application of educational technology solutions.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the School, Mr. Ike Onyechere in his opening speech welcomed the delegation as he also commended Flexisaf as a worthy partner and explained why they were chosen during the bid for the development of the School Management System (SAFSIMs).
Aside from the meeting between the delegation and the school management team, the delegation was taken around the school where they were shown to the school clinic, ICT admin office, and a classroom during a learning session.
A major highlight of the visit was a presentation by a staff in charge of ICT, Ann Ogbu who presented to visitors and other guests how the Redeemers Teap School Management System (SAFSIMs) works.
According to Ann Ogbu during her presentation, the School Management System developed by Flexisaf has enhanced the school’s Administrative Academic, and accounting processes in very positive ways.
She emphasized that some of the benefits of SAFSIMs include;
Streamlined Administrative Processes: she added that using safsims they have been able to
• Create students, parents and Staff on the portal
• Easy access to database of our student, Staff and parents thereby enhancing planning processes
• Access to total number of classes and number of student in each class
• Access to number of teaching and non-teaching staff information
• Direct emails to parents
Also it has been to be used to simplified Academic Processes: With Safsims being able to:
• Assigning subjects to teachers
• Assigning a form teachers to classes
• Assign subject to teachers
• Creating and uploading lesson notes with ease by teachers
• Inputting students’ CA and exam scores on the system with ease not requiring the teacher to do manual result calculation
• Easy access to class broadsheet
• Easy access to student’s result
3. Fee Configuration and Payment:
• Quicker and easier configuration of fees for various classes
• Fee payment progress updates are seen on the fee admin dashboard
• Enhanced fee administration and monitoring
• Eliminated errors that usually lead to loss of revenue with secured payment gateway.
4. Parent Access: Parents can
• Easy access of results of their wards
• Make fee payment online
• Generate receipt of their payment online
In conclusion, she added that Safsims has made the administration of teaching, examination, assessment, fee collection, student information, parent information, financial, and a host of other processes faster, seamless, and more efficient.
Other highlights of the event include a short speech presentation by the school orator Master Adisa Olasubomi a five-year-old Grade 1 Canaan pupil welcoming the visitors, a presentation on Climate Change by another pupil who is an advocate of Climate change who goes by the name Akunna Nwankwo who is a 9 year old grade 4 Shiloh pupil while the duo of Emmanuel Andrew and Ekpa Jeremiah both 15 years of age and are students of SS2 C and A respectively who are the website designers presented the details of the SAFISMs website of the school, the students are part of the ICT Club of the school.
The event ended with a vote of thanks by a parent and a group photograph of the visitors.
