How Fire Destroyed Business Unit Of Adamawa State University, Mubi

A Fire Outbreak which cause is yet to be identified, on Friday destroyed the Business department of the Adamawa State University, Mubi, ADSU.

An eye witness who narrated the disaster amidst shock: “I have never seen this kind of disaster, the fire was just spreading as if someone elsewhere is putting petrol into it, and I want to believe that goods worth millions of Naira were destroyed by the incident”.

A student, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the most painful part was that documents belonging to the department were burnt.

The inferno is considered the worst since the history of the university and only the intervention of well-meaning Nigerians will help to stabilize the institution.

The student noted that with the help of the staff and students, who came to the rescue, prevented the fire from spreading into other buildings.

While inspecting to ascertain the level of the damage, the Vice Chancellor of ADSU, Dr. Moses Zaruwa told newsmen that the burnt buildings destroyed by the  inferno is a colossal lost, describing the incident as “highly regrettable, as valuable documents that can help in the decision making of the organization were gutted away by the fire.

He called on the people to remain calm as the Management of the school is working around the clock to find a lasting solution hence a committee will soon be instituted to investigate the cause of the fire and also take steps to ensure that such never occur again.

He however assured Staff and students that the fire out break will never temper with the ongoing exams and other academic activities in the University.
