FG, Employees About 7Million People Under Its Social Investment Progammes–SSA

The Federal, government says it will not relent its efforts in creating more job opportunities for the millions of unemployed youth of the Country saying that about seven million people have been engaged under its social investment programmmes.

This was made known by the Senior special Assistant to President Muahmmadu Buhari on Social Investment progamme Barrister Ismaila Amed while briefing the press after a meeting he held with beneficiaries of the N-Power, Cash Transfer, home grown feeding of primary pupils and Soft loan programmers in Dutse , Jigawa state over the weekend.

He said that he was in Jigawa state as part of his nationwide tour to states to assess the programmes , listen to complaints and success stories of the schemes with a view to report back to Mr. President Muhammad Buhari for his perusal.

Barrister Ismaila Ahmed disclosed that under the home grown feeding scheme, a total of 2.5million class one to three primary school pupils will benefit across the country stating further 500,000. graduates have been employed  under N-power, while 700,000.00 have enjoyed  Cash Transfer and hundreds of thousands women have been engaged  to cook food for primary pupils in the Country adding soft loan was granted to hundreds of thousands of youth all in an efforts to make them self-employed.

The SSA stated that the value chain was very high  saying that president said this was not enough  even as more social programmes are under way pointed that , this was not a privileged , but it was a right for Nigerians, because  their wealth was entrusted to the APC government.

He said that 3,253  youth have benefited from the N- Power programme in jigawa while about  50,000  have  benefited  from Cash transfer with  hundreds also  have access to soft loan adding that 200,000.00 pupils are to benefit from the home grown feeding  scheme in the state.

He implored the beneficiaries of the programmes to ensure that they reciprocate the good gesture by voting Muhammadu Buhari and all APC contestants in 2019 general elections, and assured that his office will rectify all problems related payments.

”To be honest with you, we don’t want blow our trumpet, but I can assure that there are success stories about these programmes from the state we have so far visited,” Barrister Ahmed quipped.
