On Sat.Jan.26th 2019 Owerri, the Imo State capital witnessed what so many political analysts and spectators described as one million youth match for the re-election bid of President Mohammadu Buhari,come Feb.16th 2019.
The Imo youths solidarity match which was organized and mobilized by the Deputy Director SouthEast Youths and Mobilization APC Presidential Youths Council for Buhari 2019 Campaign Organization,Hon.Amb.Jasper Azuatalam,who is also the SouthEast Coordinator for Buhari Re-election bid,and the APC BoT member in-charge of SouthEast Youths,under his capacity and political will ably mobilized Imo youths from across the 27 LGA of Imo State,who trooped out enmass which no one could able to count while on they were matching round the major roads in the Owerri metropolis,chanting all kinds of solidarity songs,armed with various banners and placard inscriptions in support of Buhari’s second term bid which mostly with the theme:”Next Level of President Buhari 2019″.
The National Youths Mobilizer,Amb.Azuatalam,who spoke to newsmen shortly after they matched for Buhari,expressed satisfaction with large turn of Imo youths who showed solidarity to Buhari’s second term as Nigerian President in 2019.
Amb.Azuatalam,while addressing the youths,told the media that President Mohammadu Buhari’s administration within the last four years has positively touched the lives of many for good especially the youths through job creation such as:the N-power,youths empowerment,protection of lives and properties of the citizens.
He recalled that Ndi-Igbo gave Buhari about 13 million votes in 2015,but however appealed to them to vote more than they did in the last presidential polls.
Azuatalam therefore appealed to Imolites to cast their votes for Buhari and APC in the upcoming Presidential elections on Feb.16th 2019,even as he also charged Ndi-Imo to vote for all the Imo APC candidates of various positions and mostly the Imo APC governorship flagbearer,Sen.Hope Uzodinma,come March 2nd 2019.
The APC BoT member for SouthEast Youths,Azuatalam,moreso described the vote for President Buhari in 2019 as the shortest political route to Igbo Presidency in 2023.
Azuatalam furthermore expressed optimism that Buhari would handover power to an Igbo man in 2023,but called on the needs to support and vote for him in the forthcoming presidential polls.
“The office of the Presidency should be rotational.Nigerians must endeavor to agitate for equity,justice and fairness in governance. Our youths should weak up and fight for their own political interest. We must say no to impunity and say yes to the rule of law”,he stated.
Comr.Jasper,however appealed to Imo youths to ensure that vote for Buhari for President,insisted that his government,when re-elected would tremendously be for the benefits of the youths.
Some of Imo APC governorship aspirants who also supported and facilitated the million match for Buhari’s second tenure includes:High Chief Engr.Chuks Ololo,and Hon.Barr.Chima Anozie,aka Homebase and some prominent political moguls from Imo APC,who obviously vowed to deliver President Buhari,come Feb.16th 2019.
He has called on Ndi-Imo and Ndi-Imo to strongly support and vote for President Buhari’s re-election,come Feb.16th 2019,so that by 2023,the Igbo Presidency would be a huge success.
