The Minister of Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Malam Muhammad Musa Bello has sacked the embattled Director General of the Abuja Geographic Information System (AGIS), Jamilah Tangaza.
The former AGIS boss who is presently under the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) investigation over alleged corruption was replaced by Dr. Isa Jalo.
It would be recalled that the sacked Jamila Tangaza was quizzed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for alleged corrupt practices bothering on land and other issues.
In a circular dated August 1o, 2016 which was signed by the Permanent Secretary of the FCT, Dr. Babatope Ajakaiye stated that that the Minister also approved the appointment of Adamu Hussaini Jibrin as Land Administration new Director, while the Director of Parks and Recreation and development Control were redeployed.
According to the circular, Parks and Recreation and also Development Control now have Ali Alhaji Ukele and Mukhtar Galadima Usman as their Directors respectively.
The changes also include: Imande Victoria, Director, Satellite Towns Development Department (STDD); Obiechina Helen Nneka, Director, Resettlement and Compensation; Ahmed Zalihau, Director, Urban and Regional Planning; Dr. Okoroukwu Humphery, Director, Public Health; Mrs. Jogai Cerie, Director, Archives and History Bureau and Olaloye Marufu Omoniyi, Director, Facilities Maintenance and Management.
Meanwhile Abubakar Yahaya and Ohamma Perpetual Ndawii were appointed Secretary of Urban and Regional Planning Tribunal and Deputy Director (Planning and Resettlement) in the Resettlement and Compensation Department respectively.
According to the Circular all Deputy Directors currently in the Departments of Land Administration and Development Control are directed to report to the Department of Establishment and Training for further posting instructions.
The Circular also stated that the former Directors Land Administration, AGIS, Parks and Recreation, Facilities Maintenance and Management, Urban and Regional Planning, Development Control and Ibiang Okoi Ikpi of Facilities Maintenance and Management are to await further posting; also former Deputy Director/ Land Registrar in Land Administration Department is to report to Legal Services Secretariat for posting.
The circular further directed that all changes are with immediate effect and all handing and taking over formalities are to be completed before Friday, August 12, 2016.
