The family of Anas Idris has begged for his release, over violation of human right by special Task Force known as operation safe heaven .

The Family members petitioned Chief of Army Staff (COAS), over the matter dated 21st December, 2015 revealed that after the officer have conducted a thorough search in room apartment and there is nothing incriminating that was found there in.
The family through their counsel Akiu Idris, told the Chief that the commander Major-General Tagbo Ude, has flagrantly disobeyed the court and had continue to violate the human right of Anas Idris.
The court in suit number PLD/J32OM2/15 had ordered; “that leave is granted for the respondent to release or order to be released on bail of the applicants forthwith from detention forthwith.”
It further ordered that the respondent is “refrained from taking any further steps in connection with the matter or maintaining status quo or staying all actions pending the determination of substantive application. The return date for hearing of the suit shall be the 20th January, 2016.”
According to the plaintiff counsel, Anas Idris did not commit any offence that could warrant his unlawful detention , more so that men of the OPSH did not found any thing incriminating with him at his apartment.
The family in the petition solicited for the intervention of the COAS, to direct the OPSH commander to comply with the court order.

Our correspondent contacted the OPSH media/information officer over the matter, however said; “I will call to tell you something about the issue if I am back in the office.”
However it is discovered that Commander has refused to release the plaintiff.
