Be Fair ,Rational And Ensured Balance Reportage-Commissioner Of Information Tells Correspondents’ Chapel

The commissioner of Information, Culture and Tourism, Hon.Yakubu Abdulhamid Kwarra has called on Journalists in the state to be fair, rational by ensuring balancing of reportage before going to the press.

Kwarra stated this when members of the Correspondents’ Chapel paid him a courtesy call at the ministry, the commissioner described the press as an unconfirmed arm of government.

He appealed to those at the echelon in the Union to rise up to the occasion by been conscious of Juvenile and people of questionable character impersonating as Journalists.

“My heart bleeds with the rising spate of Juveniles and quacks infiltrating the system extorting and begging for money,” says the ugly situation “.

Hon Kwarra called on media practitioners to be warring of the peril of social media which he described as a shifting paradigm, saying the social media is a polite threat to conventional newspapers.

Hon.Kwarra promised to work shoulder to shoulder with practitioners for the interest of the state, Hon.Yakubu Abdulhamid Kwarra appreciate the Correspondents’ Chapel for the cooperation accorded to the state government.
