Faction of Nasarawa APC Campaigns For NNPP Guber Candidate

According to Author, Chinua Achebe in his book titled “Things Fall Apart, The Centre can no longer hold, this best described the present preponderances faced by the ruling All Progressives Congress in Nasarawa State ahead of March 11, 2023 gubernatorial and State House of Assembly election.

The outcome of the Presidential, Senatorial, and House of Representatives elections in Nasarawa State did not go down well with some of the candidates that loses elections to the opposition political parties, that is the Social Democratic party and the People’s Democratic Party respectively.

A chieftain of the APC said the meeting which was organized by some aggrieved members of the party in Doma was to fine-tune ways to pay Governor Abdullahi Sule back, he said the decision reached was for the faction of Al-Makura to support the Governorship candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party, Abdullahi Maidoya..

The source who pleaded anonymity averred that Governor Abdullahi Sule was the core reason why Senator Al-Makura loses the Senate seat of Nasarawa South, adding that the incumbent senator called Abdullah Sule who is the final say in the State to assist him to convinced the returning officer of Nasarawa South, Dr. Yakubu Ashuku to thwart with the election result instead the Governor switch off his handset while other sources are of the view that Governor vehemently disagreed to temper with the election result reason been that is also contesting for the elective seat, for that reason he can’t do anything to cause confusion in the State.

He further confirmed to Universal Reporters that Governor Sule has no single reason to come back to the seat of power after May 29, 2023, he confined that the party will embark on such meetings across the other Local Governments.

Only time shall tell what will be the future of Governor Sule come 11 March 2023, Again the defeat of APC in Nasarawa South Senatorial zone is another factor that may affect the fate of APC, The PDP defeats APC in the senatorial seat while the Social Democratic party, Hon.Abubakar Sarki Dahiru clinch the seat of House of Representatives representing Lafia/Obi federal constituency and Hon. Abubakar Hassan Nalaraba returned to the House of Representatives to represent the people of Awe/Doma/Keana.

The ruling All Progressives Congress suffers another defeat in Nasarawa North senatorial zone as Godiya Akwashiki beats his opponent, Danladi Halilu Emvulanza of the APC and was returned elected under the platform which he decamped to when APC denied him a return ticket, while in the House of Representatives seat, Jeremiah  Umar of the APC defeats his opponent, Hon. Abdulkarim Usman AKA Ombamas whom constituents are pointing accusing finger of eating alone as the people’s Representatives.

In Nasarawa West the SDP cleared the Senate seat, as Hon Ahmed Aliyu Wadada clinch the senate seat, Wadada was a card-carrying member of the APC before he was outsmarted by the leadership of the party, It was reliably gathered that he beat his opponent of the APC, Arc. Shehu Tukur with a wide margin, for Karu/Keffi/Kokona federal constituency, Hon. Jonathan Gaza defeats his co-contestants.

The SDP clinch two senate seats while the PDP clinch one, and the SDP won two House of Representatives seats and APC three, this is amongst the factors that may work against the victory of Engineer Abdullahi Sule, Another factor that will be considered ahead of Saturday Gubernatorial election is religion will seriously work, clerics, either Christians or Muslims are preaching along the religious divide to make it.
