A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Amos Gizo has joined those calling for the calling for the cancellation of the governorship primaries of the party in Plateau state.
Chief Gizo debunked claims from some sections of the PDP that the primaries that saw the emergent of Sen. Pwajok as the PDP flag-bearer in Plateau state was free, fair and just.
“I was chosen as one of the delegates, but let me tell you, I can’t even remember where congresses were held to determine our emergence”.
“Apart from that, both Jang and Pwajok influenced the delegates with huge sum of money, and I can tell you that the least any delegate received was N300, 000.00.  Some delegates got more than a million Naira”.
“So if you multiply such huge sums of money by over Eight hundred delegates that participated     in that kangaroo primaries you will agree with me that, as an architect of fairness and justice, I will accept that there was no true primaries held in plateau state, and it was one of the reasons why I deliberately refused to show up at the congress”.
He also expressed fear that such is likely to play out in the February, 2015 governorship election in the state, stressing that; “I resolved not to follow party, but candidate, if today, any party comes out with good candidate, I will support that party. In my opinion, I don’t support the idea of the next governor coming from Plateau North Senatorial Zone.”
“I know, my friend, Jang is hell bent to make his cousin his successor to cover up his excesses. And let me tell you, if the next governor comes   from   the Northern zone, especially from the Berom extraction, Plateau will face internal crisis, just as he is already having internal wrangling with the Gbong Gwom, Jos Da Jacob Gyang Buba over the choice of GNS as his successor”.

He said despite the fact that every average Plateau Man is aggrieved with Jang to undermine the integrity of the rest 54 languages on the Plateau, PDP will still floor the APC at the poll, even as the only alternative Party in the state failed to stand down Lalong as its flag bearer, as it should have choose Jang’s Deputy, Ignatius Longjan as its substantial guber flag bearer. According to him, Longjan will woo the support and sympathy of the people considering the unhealthy treatment mated on him by the sitting governor, Jonah Jang.
