Gov Willie Obiano has urged the citizenry to endeavour to leave positive legacies and fond memories behind with which to be remembered even long after they are gone.
The Governor gave the admonition at St Vincent’s Catholic Church, Nimo, in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra state during the funeral mass of late High Court judge, Justice Joseph Iguh.
He noted that death is inevitable for all mortals, and that what is important is for every living soul to strive to do good while still alive.
He described the late Justice Iguh as an exceptional jurist who put his best in the service of the state and humanity. He lamented that he died so young.
He urged the family to take solace in the fact that having lived a true christian life, is now resting in the bosom of our Lord.
Earlier in a homily, the Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Reverend Paulinus Ezeokafor while describing the legal profession as sensitive one that deals directly with human lives, urged practitioners to undertake the vocation with the fear of God and avoid denying people justice.
The elder brother of the deceased, Barr Frank Iguh thanked the Governor and all who commiserated with them for their support and prayers.
