The embattled Chairman of Plateau State Chapter of the All Progressive Congress,( APC )Hon. Latep Dabang popularly called the big Masquarades and Thousands of his supporters on Tuesday decamped to People Democratic Party (PDP) in a well celebrated occasion .
The Former Chairman and his former Excos took the decisive measure including member of the Plateau State House of Assembly Hon. Nanpon Tom ,Ex-State Assistant Secretary of the APC ,Hon. Binkur N. Binkur and their supporters .
The defectors were received in Langtang North Local Government Area during a Mega Rally tagged the ” Great Movement 2022 .
Addressing Journalists shortly after their defection and the officials handing over the PDP flag to the decampees at the Langtang North township Stadium Hon. Latep Dabang disclosed that PDP will rise again in 2023 .
He called on all the Plateau electorate to vote out the APC in 2023 general election, saying PDP will return power because any thinking Plateau voter should wisely kick them out of power .
According to him ,those of us who left PDP to APC should return back home the APC as political party lack ideology to governed Nigerian so we must revamp the loss glory of the state .
Latep said by the Grace of God PDP will win the Pankshin South State Constituency and Jos North/ Bassa Federal Constituency by-election slated for 26th February, 2022.
“I have full assurance that PDP will win, because i don’t have any doubts in my mind, the two by-elections PDP will clinch them, Plateau people will said bye bye to APC”.
The Chairman of the Plateau State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party PDP Hon. Chris Hassan in his remarks said that they welcoming about 12,000 APC decampees to PDP and assured them of no discrimination .
” We commence this assignment today from Langtang North LGC as are now preparing to take PDP to Government house Rayfield come 2023.
Hassan described the defection of Letep as the right decision APC brought hardship to Nigerian so as the opposition party, we are expecting total victory in 2023 general election in th State.
He added that in the next few weeks there will be another rally in Jos where the national leadership of the party will receive all those who decamped from APC to PDP”.
