Election postponement 2019: Ichie Mbanaso Insists Of APC-Buhari-Uzodinma’s Victory

A political heavy weight in the State,a former Imo State Commissioner for Works and Transport,and a serial Commissioner in Imo State,who is also the Pioneer Mayor of Orlu Zone,Chief Ichie Best Uche Mbanaso,and the Pioneer Chief of Staff,Operations,in Imo State,and the current member of the APC 2019 Presidential Election Planning and Monitoring office holder incharge of SouthEastern States,was on Saturday,Feb.16th 2019 at his Umuowa palatial home of Orlu LGA of Imo State,has described the ongoing and current postponement of the 2019 Presidential elections which was officially slated for Feb.16th as a welcome development.

Chief Mbanaso,while his interaction with some cross section of Imo Journalists,called on Imo people,SouthEast and Nigerians in general not to be disappointed over the current disappointment on the election slated to be held on Saturday,Feb.16th 2019,but shifted to Saturday,Feb.23rd 2019 by INEC,even as he described that electioneering actions as a welcome development which would allow the commission to re-strategize on how to offer the most transparent,credible,free,and fair polls.for the general interest of Nigerians.

Ichie Mbanaso who is also the Pioneer Special Adviser of New Cities Development,in his words,expressed satisfaction with the hieght of development achievements so far made by the leadership of President Mohamadu Buhari,in his administration within 4 years as the President.

Ichie Best therefore maintained that as the Presidential polls comes closer that

he would not support Gov.Rochas Okorocha for his Senatorial Seat or Hon.Uche Nwosu,because supporting Nwosu is also supporting Rochas’s third term bid,which according to him.

“As the 2019 election exercise draws very closer,I have refused to support Gov.Okorocha,his son inlaw and his evil plots to install Uche Nwosu. Okorocha and his plans to make Hon.Nwosu  his successor. That is why we formed the Imo APC Coalition Group against Okorocha’s impunity,his anti-people’s policy and imposition”,Best revealed.

Ichie Mbanaso while speaking on the postponement of the Presidential polls,commended INEC for their resolution towards finding a lasting solution to the expected new date for the exercise.

He  said “from the electioneering look of things that INEC trying to get more ready to conduct the most free and credible elections in Nigeria,added that the commission is ready and poised to offer transparent polls for the time. President Buhari has no hand on the postponement and current decision of INEC. The leadership of PDP in the past called off elections. Buhari has no plan to truncate the exercise”.

He however assured 7,000 votes from his ward (Umuowa ward) in Orlu LGA of Imo State. People should have patience. Buhari is shining and cruising home with victory of over 1 million votes from Imo people,come Feb.23rd 2019.

“Our people should learn how to make sacrifices especially when it concerns the issue of election postponement and be very patriotic,so as to benefit from the leadership of President Buhari for the next 4 years”,Best stated.

He therefore told newsmen that the Police have arrested some youths numbering over 500 persons alleged to be political thugs sent to attack him and disrupt the last Presidential polls by miscreants.

He fingered and accused one Chief Kingsley Onyegbule,from Umuowa Orlu as his arch-detractor who plotted to attack him last Friday night,Feb.15th 2019,whom according to Ichie Best sent political thugs who were armed with dangerous weapons to hurt him.

He described those he described as hired thugs and miscreants to desist evenvas he disclosed that few on them have been arrested by the police.

“I am a man of grace by God. The youths should take the bull by the horn. They should also take their destiny by their hands”,he appealed.

He called on Imolites and SouthEast people to vote APC,vote for Buhari for President,Sen.Hope Uzodinma for Imo Governor and all the candidates of APC except Gov.Rochas,who he re-insisted must not be elected as a Senator.

“I am an advocacy of equity, justice and good governance. We are fighting to ensure that APC Imo Guber candidate  is elected as the next Imo Governor, come March 9th 2019”,Ichie Mbanaso called.

Meanwhile, the accused, Chief Kingsley Onyegbula,said he is ready to deliver credible candidates of APC and Action Alliance, AA,especially the Imo APC Senatorial candidate for Orlu Zone,Gov.Rochas Okorocha and Hon.Ugwumba Uche Nwosu,who is aspiring to become Okorocha’s successor as Governor.

He described the accusations levelled against him by Mbanaso as untrue and baseless,added that there would be no room for rigging in the forthcoming elections in Orlu zone.

The APC Apex Leader in Orlu, Chief Onyegbula,said ” No man born of a woman can rig or manipulate the election in his area, pointed out that only credible candidates would emerge winners.

“We love Okorocha and his style of leadership and we have decided to transfer that love to his son-inlaw,Uche Nwosu, though he is in AA,but we must vote for him as Okorocha’s successor. We are going to deliver him. If you are popular endeavor to come to the field and show it. We are very peaceful and we must work to demonstrate our love for Okorocha and Nwosu,come Feb.23rd and March 9th 2019”,Onyegbula submitted.
