The Principal Evangelical Church Winning All( ECWA) staff school Jos Mrs Ruth Kim has cautioned the youth to shun social vices that led to destruction of the societal value.
Mrs Kim reiterated this at the 26 prize and speech giving day graduation ceremony of ECWA staff school yesterday at the permanent site Jos Farin gada .
The principal Mrs. Ruth Kim who disclosed that a total of 103 senior secondary school ,127 Jss3 students and 20 A.C.E five primary were graduated for 2014/1015 session.
Among the graduating class of 2014/2015 were the son of Gombe People’s Daily correspondent, Mr. David Hassan, son Christopher Hassan who gained admission into the same school.
She advised the graduating class of 2015 to imbibe the spirit of tolerance and hard work and dedication in whatever they found themselves doing in live.
Mrs. Kim stressed further that the big problem of our society today is lack of sincerity among the youth and most of them have been recruiting into Boko Haram terrorist organization to kill and maid innocent people in the name of religious.
According to her, education is the bedrock of development so no nation of the world should play politics with the future of the youth but stressed the need for government inculcate moral discipline and to focus more on education.
She tasked parents to ensure that they train their children in the way of the lord’s so that when they grow up they would not depart from it.
“as your going into the wider society’s today understand that some of you will be joining the right association while some will become terrorist members to cause havoc but I urged you all to look up to God for everything “,she explained.
The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) Chairman, Mr. Sunday Dika appreciated the teachers for their contributions in the nation building but charged the graduating class to reposition the mind toward achieving their destiny in live.
He pointed out that nobody can be anybody in society today except through hard work and perseverance so I employ you to be good ambassador of ECWA staff in larger world.
